The most challenging step of the setup process is finding a clear FM frequency. If you have some presets selected in your car's stereo, choose one and then move around to adjacent frequencies. Sometimes, empty frequencies separate commonly used ones.
Make sure you choose the same FM frequency between the radio and the FM transmitter. Both need to be in sync. The numbers should match between the two.
